Done in response to Act Two of This American Life’s episode, “You’re It”, in which a high school principal is inundated with angry voicemails from parents, which she decides to log in a spreadsheet. The act of organizing the voicemails gives her a sense of control and creates some emotional distance, allowing her to process the situation. (She still ends up leaving her job not long afterward.)
